Ministries Overview

Explore the Mission-centered Ministries at Chapel in the Hills

All of the Chapel's ministries support our mission to mission to live and to lead others into a Christ-Centered life by being Scripture-Saturated, Relationship-Driven, and Missions-Motivated, in order to make much of Christ.

Praise Ministry

This ministry is founded in Pslam 100:1-4 "Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness. Come into his presence with singing."

Rich in doctrine, Scripture-centered songs help deepen our understanding of the Word and renew our minds with truth, as we praise the Lord together every week.

Greeting Ministry

This ministry seeks to provide an atmosphere of love each Sunday, as we greet one another in the name of the Lord, welcome new visitors, and nurture relationships with fellow believers.

Our Coffee Ministry contributes to this ministry by providing morning coffee and delicious pastries.

Communion Ministry

The Chapel serves communion every week, where we come before the Lord with a repentant heart, remember our Lord Jesus's death and resurrection, and acknowledge that he paid the penalty for our sins, so that we can be in right standing with God.

Safety and Security Ministry

The security team protects our ability to come together as a body of believers and worship the Lord by providing a safe and secure environment at our church.

Sunday School Ministry

The Sunday School class is designed for entire families and centers on studies that provides a solid theological foundation for your faith. The class is recorded and posted on the Chapel’s YouTube channel as well.
This ministry utilizes the Generations of Grace curriculum and provides our children with a solid foundation in the truth of God’s Word. The ministry also provides both a week-long summer VBS and one-day Christmas VBS that draws many children to hear the Word.
This ministry provides our youth with a solid foundation of doctrine and faith to equip them to walk with the Lord throughout their whole lives. They gather every Sunday night for a meal and to study the Word, and many youth also travel together to Camp Regen in the summer.
The aim of this ministry is to equip college students for the environment they’re about to enter when they graduate and to serve the Lord in a challenging season that demands a lot of faith. It is currently a James 125 group, where we apply the Word from Sunday’s sermon and assign each person a prayer partner.
The theme verse for this ministry is 1 Corinthians 16:13, “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.”

It meets on Wednesday nights from 5:30-7:00pm for dinner and fellowship, and it draws a diverse group from high school to late retirement, including men who don’t attend the church and a few non-believers.
The theme verse for this ministry is 1 Corinthians 15:58, “Be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.”

This ministry centers on building Christ-centered relationships and studying the Word at bi-monthly meetings, a Hermeneutics Seminar, Secret Sisters, and the annual Christmas Tea, as well as a Mentoring Ministry.
The Chapel has several groups that meet weekly to follow the command in James 1:25, " But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." Through thoughtful questions prepared by our teaching pastors, we gather to apply the sermon from the prior week while encouraging one another in our faith.

Adventure Club

The Adventure Club is for 3- to 12-year-olds, and the curriculum is designed to come alongside parents to help them raise children in the fear and instruction of the Lord. It’s a repeating curriculum where they go through the whole counsel of God every three years.

Discipleship Cohort

This is a newly developed ministry that equips participants with training in Biblical counseling and counts towards phase I and II of the ACBC program in a year. The aim of Biblical counseling is to bring people back to a place where they can be part of the body of Christ.
The Chapel supports 12 missionaries who are strong in doctrine and committed to sharing the gospel in the area they are called. Each missionary is highlighted one month of the year and has a point of contact from within the church to build relationships, pray, and share needs with the church.
This ministry helps us fulfill our calling in Galatians 5:13 to “serve one another humbly in love” in practical and tangible ways. There are many ways to serve, and members are invited to fill out a survey to help match you with specific needs and ways to serve our church body.
This ministry serves in conjunction with the Care Ministry, and the aim is to love one another in practical ways and to come alongside people and offer financial help with funds that come from the congregation.

Facilities Ministry

The building has undergone considerable changes over the last few years, as we seek to be good stewards of our building, land, and resources. During an annual workday in August, the congregation gathers together for a fun day of service that blesses the entire congregation for the year to come.

Stewardship and Finances

The aim of this ministry is not to sit on money, hoard it, or overspend, but to use the funds the Lord provides with wisdom and good stewardship. The Chapel is transparent about our finances, sharing income and expenses in the weekly bulletin and newsletter. The ministry is led by a both an Elder/Pastor and a Member/CPA.
