Chapel in the Hills Weekly Post 8/1/26

Monthly Fellowship Meal tomorrow following 2nd service. Please bring a dish or two to share and plan to stay for food and fellowship.

Family, we'd like to try something new to ease the load on those who organize and clean up after our fellowship meals.

Young men and women, if you're willing to serve in these ways, we would be grateful. 

• Young men (ages 12-18), please stay after each meal to help set the tables and chairs back in place and vacuum the Fellowship Hall. 
• Young women (ages 12-18), please help carry dishes to the kitchen and wash them.

Our hope is that this will get the Fellowship Hall cleaned up without too much burden on those who oversee the ministry.

Women's TLC (The Ladies Connection) are typically scheduled the 2nd and 4th Saturdays each month from 9:30 to 11:00am at the church.

FORMAT: Light refreshments are often available and there is time for connection as women arrive. Then, one of the women's ministry teachers leads and engaging time of teaching, followed by prayer and connection.

For anyone interested in being baptized, Pastor CJ will be leading a baptism class in the conference room right after second service on Sunday, August 23rd.

Our Lost and Found is kept in a trunk in the Fellowship Hall. When you go downstairs, turn right and you'll find it in front of the bookshelf.

We would like to invite you to participate in a card shower for Katie and Andrew Sylvest who are expecting their sweet baby girl very soon.

There will be a clearly marked box in the greeting area for depositing Gift Cards to help celebrate and support this dear family.

The box will there for a few weeks, but there is a possibility our new Chapel baby girl will be arriving soon, so don’t delay if you intend to participate.

We are in a new series called, “God is”. This is a Genesis to Revelation study of God Himself. Rather than a systematic study of God (Theology Proper), we will be taking a chronological biblicist approach to the subject of God and how all things culminate in the Person of Jesus Christ.

Aaron Archer and Pastor Todd are leading a Tuesday Night Bible Study, concurrent with Adventure Club and Young Mom's Group. We encourage you all to buy the Banner of Truth version of Calvin's Institutes of the Christian Religion (printed in 2014), which will serve as our base text for the class. We will also have supplementary books, such as Isaac Watts' Body of Divinity, to begin with. See the CCI chat group on the Chapel app for further details.
